WOWX10! X100! The students of Perth Amboy are so lucky to have someone as talented as you working in this community. Impressive.Intriguing. Should completely engross our students who will now be able to explore a full range of academic options. Kudos to the LEADS TEAM!
Never really liked Harry Potter type books, but Percy, from Lightning Thief has me hooked. Can't believe his mom disappeared into thin air right before his eyes. I'm hoping she will reappear later as a mystical god.
Hi All........stopped in to see what was on the cutting "edge".....ok bad pun......hahaha.......looking forward to the summer program.....just an FYI.....Holmdel park....I've been told there are trips.....is a free park with a working 19th century farm....period clothing, daily activities etc.......and again FREE!!!!
Don't you just love being conversational even though we are in different buildings......Oh the technology!
The wordplay is awesome with Jane's last name (living on the edge, edge of greatness, janesedge, cutting edge, edge of??) Leave it to Taylor to see the possiblities. Check out the wordle site, a good one to use in your LA classes! You can create a word cloud about any topic. http://www.wordle.net
The teacher tube video is amazing, a total inspiration to anyone who watches it, makes you feel inspired by others' humility and courageousness! Well done my friend:)
Ok all you Half-Bloods, lets go work for Rick Riordan! I like his way of thinking about paying teachers as professionals :)
BTW Alison, love that trailer on Lightening Thief, can't wait to see it.
LEADS: What iIlike so far about the reading program leads is that we have learned so much. We also did so much difefrent projects like writing courageous comics, wow facts, and had so much fun! I like that we get rewards for what we did. We went on trips the three trips we have gone on are so much fun I learned alot.
OK this program is the bomb we had mad fun and the books are amazing! The book that we are reading is called The Lighting Thief ...... that is about a boy named Percey and he is a halfblood and there is something interresting about him... he is offered a quest after Chiron and other children find out what cabin he is in and he is one of the children of Poseidon.
What I think about the L.E.A.D.S program is that it is very interesting.I like the book called THE LIGHTING THEIF.The two things that I like were the trips and the projects. This program is excellent for kids who like to learn. This is the best program ever.!!!That's why I like the L.E.A.D.S program.
My opinion about the leads progaram is it's fun. Also interesting.I learned so many things.I learned about StateTroopers. Also about a book called The Lightning Theif.I like the leads program.
I think the l.e.a.d.s program is so cool !!!!! The l.e.a.d.s program is filled with half- bloods and demigods!!!! THE l.e.a.d.s is the most fun out of all!!!!:) :>:)
What I like about the L.E.A.D.S. program is the students in room 120, and of course working with Mrs. Novello We are having a great time learning and discovering. Using glitter glue is also a bonus!
Actually Patrick, I do! They are as good as ours in room 122:) There are many wonderful kids that I became aquainted with because of this program. It's been great to make new friends.
I enjoyed coming to Leads program because it gives me something to do during the summer. I learned a lot of new things that I never knew before. Ever since I came to Leads, I've been able to read, write and comprehend better. Thats why I enjoyed coming here, and hopefully I can do it again. I thought that the program was excellent and if I had to score it one out of ten, I would give it a ten. The program deserves a ten be cause it was fun, cool and interesting.
I enjoyed this program. This program has brought me a ton of knowledge and respect. I loved the trips because i had fun while learning about the museum. I got a lot of knowlegde from them, for example at the space museum, I learned that Neil Armstrong's partner was going to be first to walk on the moon but Neil got to become the first to walk on the moon and now he is famous for it.
i have learned alot during this experience.Something that i will take with me when i leave is Courge. i also liked the trips. My most favortie one is the space trip to the Monmouth Museum. What i likeed most about the trip is when we pretended to send people into space, and when we went into the bubble and saw the stars. I AM HAPPY THAT SIGNED ON TO THIS PROGRAM!!!! ....by Nicole Rodriguez:]=p
I naver knew that the Vietnam War was that bad. With wars like the Vietnam war our country has a lot to lose. I think that wars do make the U.S.A stronger and smarter. I never knew much about this war and there is still more I'D like to know.
This was my first time at leads program and it was so fun for me I learned alot from all the trips I went to that wil help me in the future. I learned new things about lang. arts. So I enjoyed the program because I made more friends. I wish I knew about the LEADS program earler because it would of helped me pass last year with better grades. Tyrone
Well L.E.A.D.S. Summer of '10 is done but not forgotten! The kids at Shull had an awesome experience by partaking in readers theater, enhancing researching reading, and writing skills, creating PBL's, and most of all, feeling pride and accomplishment! I know they will take what they learned into the new school year and be more prepared for the challenges that lie ahead. Thanks to all the dedicated staff I worked with to make this a successful and enriching experience. A special thanks to you Linda, who was always one step ahead of the game, knew what the kids and staff needed, and had it ready! Have a great August, see you all soon!
